KICKCON

Sneakers are the coolest.

And so many people of all shapes and sizes love sneakers. So what better way to bring a bunch of crazy shoe people together than another convention where admirers can trade, sell, and network with other shoe creators and modification artists!

This is what KICKCON is all about.

Objectives:

Logo & Identity:

Sneakerhead culture derives from hip-hop and skater culture back as early as the 80s. From pro athletes to fashionistas the hype for shoes was at an all time high.

When it comes to the logo design for this project, I conveyed this urban hip-hop aesthetic in the type. To have the viewer be able to visualize a silhouette of various sizes, the type within the contour of a shoe was a no brainer.

Environmental:

Once the logo is squared away, I applied it with a couple of additional key design assets to put together full renders of what it would look like inside a KICKCON event.

The designs chosen are meant to keep things simple, having the logo speak for itself as well as appeal to a broad demographic.
